DEMOCRATIC IDEALS

Democratic Ideals is an expression used to refer to personal qualities or standards of government behavior that are felt to be essential for the democratic policy. Frequently the importance of human rights is listed as a central democratic ideal,as well as instilling in military and civilian governmental personnel the attitudes and methods which will prevent their actions from infringing on those rights. Democratic ideals are often cited as a reason for patriotism ,in order to make the world”SAFE FOR DEMOCRACY”.The ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. Democratic set up is based on the liberty ,it is the freedom to make decisions and choices.Some people say testing students for drugs limits their ability to make their own choices,However ,this is untrue.Democratic values includes liberty and equality .These words represent basic values of democratic political systems ,including that of the United States.Rule by absolute monarchs and emperors has often brought peace and order ,but at the cost of personal freedoms.For example,the ideals of a representative democracy is seen in the constitution’s structuring of the government,the ideal of federalism is also seen the independent country.
