Farmer's suicides in India

Farming is a profession of hope.The farmers has to be an optimist or he wouldn’t still be a farmer. Farmer suicides in India refers to the national catastrophe of farmers committing suicide's often by drinking pesticides, due to their inability to pay their debts.

The major causes behind suicidal intent is depression, which making them to attempt suicide.

As, we all know that Agriculture is the backbone of our country, which is considered as a key factor to improve our economic level of our country. But we people are not aware about it, we have to know the importance of agriculture and the farmers. The food we eat, daily is only because of the farmers who are working effortlessly to make us free from hunger. India is an agrarian country with around 70% of its people depending directly or indirectly upon Agriculture. But farmer’s suicides in India is worrying. Scholars have given various reasons such as monsoon failure, climate change, high debt burdens, government policies issues and family problems among the reason of farmer’s suicides in India.


As a conclude that agriculture is our wisest pursuit, because it will in the end contribute most to real wealth, good morals and happiness. Farming is not a just a job it’s a way of life. A farmer is a real former, the slits, the cuts and crevices on his palms and feet, proves that he bleeds to feed. As a farmer they are proud to feed the world one !!family at a time. Just a future pillars of our country we should raise our voice towards the farmer’s suicide in recent times.
