Curtain Hug

At the time, I was coming back home from my school. I don’t remember the date but it was during the Summer. Just like any other day, I was waiting for the bus at the bus stop. I used to watch many people sleeping on the side of the road. But on that day, I also saw two children roaming around the area. They were asking for help from the people over there. They asked many people to help them. Few people gave money to those children but many of them didn’t help them as they thought those children might be a scam.
After seeing those children, I felt that I should be helping them. After speaking to them, I came to know that they were hungry and hadn't eaten anything since a long time. They said that their parents lived in some other area and they had been lost because they had been roaming around and didn’t know their way back home.
After the conversation, I took them to a nearby shop and bought them food. I remember sitting there, watching them enjoying their food. I had realized that helping someone can be really joyful. After that day, I try my best to help people to my best ability.
Moreover, I have realized that many people are longing for the things that we are fortunate to have and are often not even grateful for. I have learnt that we should be grateful for those things instead of cribbing about things we don’t have.
