Curtain Hug

I remember a day about 2 years back; I saw a woman who seemed to not be well off, working as a maid in one school near my house. After looking at me for some time, she came to me and said that she has a daughter the same age as me. She told that there is a marriage function of one of her close relatives in about 10 days, and her daughter wants to go there but she has nothing to wear in that function and that she can not afford to buy her some new clothes. She asked me if I could provide her with some of the old clothes that are of no more use to me so that she can enjoy that function. Without a second thought, I decided to give her my clothes. I even thought to myself about other uses I could have donated my clothes for. I went back home, searched for clothes that I do not wear or are not of further use to me. I collected them all in a bundle and got them ready. The next day, I saw her waiting for me. The moment she looked at the bundle in my hand, I could see a smile on her face. There were tears of joy as well in her eyes. She was happy that now even her daughter can enjoy the function in some beautiful clothes. Looking at her smile, there was a smile on my face too. It was not only a happy moment but a proud moment as well. Since that day, I have always thought of donating my clothes instead of just storing them.
